About Hope Williams
MA. LCMHC, LCASA, NCC
I’m Hope Williams, a licensed counselor offering appointments in my office in Winston-Salem; via ‘walk and talk’ sessions in various locations near Clemmons, Winston Salem, Bermuda Run, and Mocksville; and via Telehealth services throughout North Carolina.
It is my belief that working as a counselor is my calling, not just my profession. I feel strongly that everyone deserves a safe space where they may explore their thoughts, examine their feelings, unburden their past, and navigate the perspectives and tendencies that will shape their future. I have dedicated my life’s work to providing that safe space and an extensive education to learning techniques that can assist you in navigating.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (LCASA), a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and a certified provider of SYMBIS marital and premarital therapy. I work with individuals, couples, and families, ages 10 and up. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology, minor in Christian Counseling, and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, VA.
Each session is tailored to meet your unique needs, respecting your personal goals and preferences. While I specialize in Christian-based therapeutic approaches, I have equal experience working with clients who prefer to exclude faith concepts. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds seeking support to improve their well-being. Whether you’re facing anxiety, trauma, relationship conflict, spiritual struggle, or simply seeking clarity, I use a compassionate, evidence-based approach to help you uncover the path that feels right for you. You deserve to feel heard, understood, and supported. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’m here to walk alongside you.

My Approach
I believe that therapy should be collaborative and empowering. My goal is to help you gain the skills and confidence to navigate life’s challenges in a way that feels right for you. I integrate a range of therapeutic techniques to meet you where you are, ensuring that every session is both meaningful and effective.
Telehealth & In-Person Sessions
Therapy should be accessible and flexible. That’s why I offer multiple options to fit your lifestyle and comfort level. You are welcome to meet with me using any combination of these appointment types:
- In-Person Office Sessions – Available at 1355 Jonestown Rd, Suite A, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 for those who prefer face-to-face therapy in a traditional office setting. (By appointment only-no walk ins)
- Telehealth Sessions – Secure, HIPAA-compliant online therapy available for all North Carolina residents. This is a great option for those with busy schedules, limited mobility, or who feel more comfortable in their own space.
- Walk & Talk Therapy – A unique approach that combines movement and outdoor options with therapeutic conversation. Available in Clemmons, Winston-Salem, and Mocksville areas.
Current research suggests that telehealth is as effective as in-person therapy for many. Some studies even indicate potential advantages over traditional therapy, making it a great solution for those who need flexibility without compromising quality care. Walk & Talk therapy has been shown to offer several additional benefits to traditional in-office in-person therapy, though considerations including setting and physical abilities must be made on a case-by-case basis to discover whether or not this approach is best for you.

Reimbursement varies by plan, so we encourage you to contact your insurance company to verify your out-of-network coverage.
Why Choose Self-Pay?
Private pay offers benefits that insurance often can’t match:
- No required mental health diagnosis
- More flexibility in choosing your therapist, session frequency, and treatment length
- Immediate access to care—no waitlists or insurance delays
- Therapy tailored to your personal goals, not your insurance company’s requirements
While private pay may feel like a bigger investment upfront, many clients find it offers greater value, privacy, and freedom in the long run.
